In 1961 the MB published "Battle
Cry", a game where two players re-enacted American Civil War of 1861-1865
tactical battles and skirmishes. In 1999 Avalon Hill released a renewed version
of “Battle Cry”. In 2010 Avalon Hill under Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro
released the American Civil War’s 150 years anniversary edition.
The Game
The Battle Cry was created by Richard Borg. This
game is for two players over the age of 12. It contains a total of 30 historical
battles and skirmishes of the American civil war. The game emphasizes on the
terrain where the battles took place here. The deployment of the forces, both
Union and Confederacy, is historically accurate.
The winner is the player who implements his
battle plan, makes correct usage of his strategic cards, and of course, maximizes his dice rolls.
