Area & Table Edge
|
DEPLOYMENT
The players deploy their forces anywhere in their half
of the table and more than 9’’ from the centre line of the table.
Each player deploys 1 HQ and 2 Troops. The rest of
their forces are placed in reserve.
FIRST TURN
The player who deployed first takes the first turn.
The opponent player can attempt to Seize the Initiative (pg 132).
GAME LENGTH
The mission uses the Variable Game Length (pg 133).
VICTORY CONDITIONS
At the end of the game the player that has captured
the most objectives is the winner.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Set-up D3+2 objective markers before either side
deploys or rolls for their deployment area. The player who won the roll-off
sets-up the first objective, then the enemy player, and so on until the
requisite number of markers has been placed. Objectives may be set up anywhere
on the table more than 12’’ from a table edge or another objective.
MISSION SPECIAL RULES
Up and At ‘Em Lads!!!: The player who played
deployed first, once per game, can order its units to get Up an At ‘Em Lads!!!.
This must be declared at the start of any turn, and means that for the
remainder of that turn all non-vehicle units in the army count as having the
Furious Charge and Rage USR.
Reserves
Night Fighting
OPTIONAL RULES
If one player fields Orks he gets to set-up objective
first, to deploy first and to play the first turn.
Whaaagh!
Without End: If the battle
includes an Ork army on either or both sides, then the Orks may, if they
desire, carry on a Waaagh into a second or subsequent turn. If they do so,
non-vehicle Ork units continue to benefit from the special rules that apply
when a “Whaaagh!” is called, but from that point on may not take cover saves
and don’t receive any defensive benefits from being in cover when assaulted.
Note that the enemy must still have a Line of Sight in
order to fire, so any Orks completely hidden from view cannot be shot at. The
Ork player may choose to end the Whaaagh! at the start of any subsequent
shooting phases.
Note that the Ork army cannot use the Up an At ‘Em Lads!!! and must stick with
declaring a Whaaagh instead!
